Community Veterinary Clinic
Low-Cost Veterinary Care
At the Humane Society of Sonoma County, we believe pets belong with the families who love them. The goal of our Community Veterinary Clinic (CVC) is to reduce pet surrender or euthanasia for families who cannot afford vet care. We strive to provide a safety net for low-income pet owners in a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment.
Our current scope of practice is focused on surgery and sedated procedures as well as quality of life / end of life care. We strive to provide care to as many families as we are able, but cannot accept every case. Our team will help provide options whether with us or another provider in the area.
Please Note:
- The CVC no longer provides URGENT MEDICAL CARE. We are not accepting new patients for medicine and are not able to provide urgent care or overnight care.
- The CVC does not provide wellness services. This includes routine exams, vaccinations, deworming, or treatment of minor medical conditions. For low-cost wellness services, please visit https://www.vippetcare.com for dates and locations of local pop-up wellness clinics.
- As part of our mission to end pet homelessness and unwanted litters, as well as to optimize the health of individual animals – our subsidized surgical services require clients to commit to having their pets spayed or neutered. Our veterinarian will discuss all options with you at the time of consult. If you choose not to proceed with spaying or neutering, we encourage you to seek care from other veterinary providers.
